Our Process:
Bloomberg Connects is an organization-led process, where your team builds your own guide in our easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS). Key things to know about our process before you get started are that your organization will:
- Assemble a project team, including members of different departments across your organization
- Join a cohort of 10-15 peer organizations
- Build your guide over the course of a 13-week process
- Attend a combination of one-on-one content sessions and group learning calls
- Plan to spend 3-10 hours a week developing your guide during the process
- Work with our marketing team to develop an onsite plan to promote your guide
- Launch your guide and continue to make updates with new content, whenever you like!
What makes a great Bloomberg Connects partner?
- Physical space – Bloomberg Connects can be used, anywhere, anytime, but the primary benefit is for use during an onsite experience. We have worked with a wide spectrum of cultural organizations, but those that have seen the largest benefit from our platform include museums and galleries (collecting and non-collecting), gardens and parks, sculpture parks and public art programs, and historic houses and heritage sites.
- Open to the public – Bloomberg Connects allows users to explore spaces from anywhere, but ideally your space is regularly accessible to the public for onsite visitation. If you are currently under construction, it may be more advantageous to start the process closer to your opening.
- Interest in audio – We strongly encourage the use of audio content as part of the storytelling process. We provide training, audio kits, and more to assist.
- Time and commitment – We offer lots of support during the process, but building a guide does require time and attention
- Nonprofit status – With rare exceptions we only work with non-profit or civic organizations.
