Lowe Art Museum

As Miami’s first professional art exhibition space, the Lowe Art Museum holds a special place in the city’s cultural history. This visual arts gem has a collection of over 19,500 objects. Recent additions include a stunning Pavilion for Contemporary Glass and Studio Arts –  which visitors can explore with the “Audio Tour Glass Highlights.” The Lowe’s curated tours make it easy to discover how art can elevate the human spirit, so why not start with “Highlights at the Lowe Art Museum” or “Art Outdoors!

Organized into rooms including the “River Room” and the “Fern Room,” The Underline showcases public art that connects urban landscapes with cultural expression. Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College

MOAD (Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College) is dedicated to exhibiting modern and contemporary visual art and design. It’s located within the National Historic Landmark – the Freedom Tower – generously donated to Miami Dade College in 2005. The building is currently closed for renovation, but you can still explore exhibitions online. We recommend starting with “Collection Highlights,” which holds works by various artists, highlighting key moments in art history. MOAD is also known for empowering communities to reimagine and remake their city, exploring challenges and opportunities locally and globally.

Founded in 1981 by Ted and Lin Arison, YoungArts is a beacon for young talent nationwide. This organization works with exceptional young artists in disciplines like music, dance, theater, visual arts, film, photography, and writing, fostering their growth through mentorship and funding. The app offers a glimpse into this vibrant community with the “YoungArts TakeOne” video series, showcasing the incredible talent nurtured by YoungArts. As well as “YoungArts Presents,” which tells an artist’s story – starring and created by YoungArts award winners. Each is unique, but together, they demonstrate a shared passion for creativity.

ICA Miami

Located in the heart of the Design District, ICA Miami is dedicated to promoting experimentation in contemporary art and providing a platform to champion the art of our time. Their “permanent collection” includes works from 1957 to the present day by leading emerging and established artists, including Louise Bourgeois, Sam Mckinniss, and Jared McGriff. There’s a serene “sculpture garden” to discover, as well as the opportunity to view past exhibitions such as “Denzil Forrester: We Culture” or “Zilia Sánchez: Topolgías / Topologies.
